A recent article posted by the American Marketing Association points out some great reasons why you shouldn’t rely on Search Engine Optimization alone for your website traffic and why you need to diversify your online strategy.

SEO is an investment that pays off, but you can’t rely on that alone for your business’ revenue. The real estate on the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) is limited, and more and more Google is taking up that real estate for its own services.

To add to that, Google is now using AI to serve up search results. RankBrain is the artificial intelligence that is the latest power tool they are taking advantage of. It is better at reading natural voice content than spiders of the past, so the trend of writing for both people and search engine spiders is going to be dying out as they perfect it.

So be sure to employ good copywriting for your site. We can’t recommend the importance of hiring or contracting a great copywriter for your site content enough. Also, take advantage of Search Engine Marketing (SEM or PPC) too, it is one way to assure you will be on the first results page.
